For PADI certification courses, you must be able to swim 200 meters and float for 10 minutes. For our introductory Discover Scuba Diving experience, you just need to be comfortable in the water, as you’ll be with an instructor the entire time.

A: Sri Lanka offers great diving year-round by alternating coasts! The best season for the south coast (Weligama) is from October to May. For the east coast (Trincomalee), the season is from May to October.

Yes. If you wear soft contact lenses, you can dive with them in. If you wear glasses, you can rent a prescription mask from us. Please let us know your prescription in advance so we can have it ready for you.

The ocean in Sri Lanka is warm year-round, typically 27-30°C (80-86°F). We provide you with a 3mm shorty wetsuit for thermal comfort and protection during all our dives.

It’s completely normal to be nervous! Our instructors are specially trained to help you feel safe and comfortable. The Discover Scuba Diving program is designed for beginners to experience the feeling of breathing underwater in a calm, controlled environment with an instructor by your side at all times.

If you want to get certified in 3-4 days, the PADI Open Water Diver course is the world’s most popular choice. If you’re short on time or just want to try diving for one day, the Discover Scuba Dive is the perfect option.

The course typically takes 3 to 4 days. This includes theory sessions, skill practice in a pool or shallow water, and four dives in the open ocean.

The minimum age is 10 years old for the PADI Open Water Diver certification. We offer courses for all skill levels and ages.

The best time for whale watching in Mirissa is from November to April. During this period, the ocean is calm, and sightings of blue whales, sperm whales, and dolphins are very frequent.
